Contemporary Mexican artist. Beatriz Simón (Mexico City, 1962) is a member of the “National System of Art Creators” (SNCA) of FONCA (2022-2025) and her work has been recognized with the following awards: Selection at the Biennial of Contemporary Art of León, Guanajuato (2023), First Place at the III Biennial of Contemporary Sacred Art of the Metropolitan Museum of Monterrey (2013), Honorable Mention at the III Pedro Coronel Biennial of the Pedro Coronel Museum in Zacatecas (2012), Selection at the IV Alfredo Zalce Biennial of the Alfredo Zalce Museum of Contemporary Art in Morelia (2003).
